Part two of the future spaces Chilmington Green workshops

Following the first event on 28 January 2023, this second event will present concept designs for the new
Garden Community Room which respond to the ideas and proposals made by local people. The new building is planned for construction within 2023 and will offer a bookable venue with a flexible space for different user groups. 

Phil Simpson (People + Place Architects) is leading the design of the GC Room. He will be there with creative activities for people to engage with. He is keen to involve local people in choosing the right sustainable materials for the build and to help define the potential uses for the space once in operations this summer. Some sketches, drawings and plans for the GC Room, along with the future park and footways will be on display with Council officers on hand to answer questions.
